Asakusa manufactured many highly collectible toys including many 'AstroBoy' toys, the 'Pleasant Kappa river monster' and many other cars, planes, and character toys.

Here Asakusa offered us a New Buick - Yellow Car edition.  Based on a new body style from Buick we know of two "New Buick" cars offered; this yellow car with a two flashing lights on the hood (blinkers), while the other is decked out in a Police Car paint job topped off with a Red Flashing light on the roof.

While not 100% metal, these are quality tin and plastic cars of the early 1970s merging old and new manufacturing processes.  These are among the last metal battery operated cars before everyone switched to cheaper plastic toys.
