Hello and welcome to my first post in the WORLDS FIRST ALL VIRTUAL MUSEUM hereby known as MOBOTOYS (Museum of Battery Operated Toys) . The intent of my blog is to share with you the journey involved in the creation of this museum including successes and failures. I will share my successes, failures (the ones I admit to), and insights.

MOBOTOYS started as an idea and has grown to what you see today. Some of the major activities involved include collecting, repairing, cleaning, cataloguing, and warehousing (of over 1700 battery-operated toys). Creating databases and spreadsheets for information management (including configuration control) of all the about each toy (exhibit). Envisioning a new approach to what a virtual exhibit can be lead to the website development. This is wear things get interesting as the rubber hits the road here.

I will be posting insights into all these topics and more as I peel the onion for you on how the WORLDS FIRST ALL VIRTUAL MUSEUM came to be. My real hope is my story inspires you to follow your dreams and accept risk to get there. It is a great personal journey to try something new ... start your own journey today!
